There are many places of worship in NY that have a cemetery on its property.

Every Veterans Day the local American legions and VFW’s provides honor guard with real rifles and firing of blanks on the property of a “place of worship”.

Should the state police be called to report a violation of the sensitive place guns prohibited law?

The veterans will have to be arrested as it is a felony. The state police must enforce the NYS law. If they are charged with felony’s there is a chance they may loose their disability benefits and any military pensions.

It has to hurt for it to change. Their stupidity must be exposed.

The law is also so no one can protest while being armed.
That way the state can abuse you and you will like it.

Is this considered an illegal transfer now? I remember reading the state police FAQ and if I remember correctly hunting was the exception used for loaning a riffle. Two felonies now.

I’m sure the queen will come out and say this is ok since they love veterans.

The law is very clear and sensitive trumps all other no go zones. A place of worship cannot even hire security and it is a huge deal with Jewish temples. The honor guard will be committing a felony.

Most places it is illegal to discharge a firearm in city limits. The honor guards do this every week in cemeteries. I am sure there is a permit system in place to do this. It will be the same for the new sensitive areas. There is an exception to every rule. A handgun license trumps the Sullivan act outlawing handguns. A permit for ceremonial weapons will trump the sensitive area law.

There are differences between ceremonial rifles that will only fire blanks or not fire at all and real rifles that fire blanks. Both are used. As of now there is no permit process that I know of to circumvent the current laws.
