The .45 actually hits so hard it creates shock waves that travel up the spine and create a disconnect with the brain, hence the apparent lack of reaction. With a 9mm its more like a hornet bite and your saying "OW! Something bit me dammit!", and go about your day.

You don't need lungs or heart for several seconds and can keep on going, even if they are all hit.

Looks like cop is probably going to be okay based on his walking around and ability to interact, but it is a good lesson on why you cannot assume being shot just instantly drops somebody.

Too many, citizens and cops, think the gun id the ultimate tool of power.

I watched a guy, years ago, shoot another with a Beretta M9. Emptied the entire mag and the shot guy did not drop until another with an M4 dropped him.

Makes little difference at times the ammo being used.

Much depends on the individual that has been shot.

Know your anatomy, most of the human body is like a hairdresser in 2020, non-essential.

Also, remember the big fat guy has the same sized central nervous system as the small skinny guy.

It's easier to hit him, but harder to get "good" hits.

It doesn't do you any good for your attacker to bleed out in 15 mins, you need him down *now*.
