Off an original .223 Varmint Special rifle and in nice shape. Plans changed and now this barrel is surplus to my needs. Some surface scratches from putting it on & off a shelf and normal wear & tear. All original Remington proof marks and factory drilled & tapped for a Unertl-type front scope mount. (All the older Varmint 700's were). Shoulder is factory and never cut back. Threads are perfect with no issues. Great bore with lots of life left. I believe these old Rem barrels are 1-12" twist. Barrel has been professionally cut back 1/2" and fresh 11 degree target crown applied. This barrel shot extremely well for me. $100 shipped or trade locally for 9mm or 22 short ammo.
