It is resisting. refusing to comply with the laws of the state is the first stage of resistance. Its passive resistance. As things stand right now it would be hard to imagine That people would take up arms against the government . But you don't know what tomorrow holds. Judging by the leadership of this country its not hard to imagine them using an Iron fist at some point. You know as well as I do that disarming the public isn't for public safety.Its because they fear resistance to whatever it is they have planned. Socialism, world government , whatever .
I still think it is funny that so many think the biggest issue that we face in America is in regards to the 2A!

That is true, but in some respects dismantling the 2nd Amendment guarantees some of those other issues move forward into new realities that we fail to acknowledge.
There are more than 300 million guns in the USA. "They" can pass all the bullshit laws they want. The only way the 2A goes away is if the Country goes away.
Yeah, I get it... Anti-gun laws and the fight against the 2A sucks, but it will not disappear. So many other issues are so much larger.

We’ve been through this rodeo before. Passive resistance to hide in a closet until your death where afterwards your kids or your kid’s kids will throw them out or turn them in. It’s a resistance that only benefits the ego of the one who’s hiding it. Sort of like a POW hiding a banned item in his ass crack for his own sanity so that he can tell himself that he is resisting.
How many times have we heard of the German rifle or M14 found in grandpa’s attic that was turned into the police. Where are all those Tommy Guns that were in attics after they were deemed illegal?
Where was your generation in fighting for those automatic weapons? What makes you think that the next generation will fight for found AR’s in a closet?
Just a while ago on this very forum, there was a thread about what one would do if they found a full auto M14 in a dead family member’s attic. Some said that they would turn it in so as not to take a chance.
And on the subject of guns not being the most important issue as @GOPerfect alluded to, where is our generation in fighting for anything else? Are we seeing the tar and feathering of our school officials teaching our kids that it’s okay to cut off your penis? What about our taxes? Where is the backlash when some of us pay over a thousand dollars a month in property taxes? How about our jobs going oversees? What are we doing about illegal alien gang violence? I cannot list all the stuff that we complain about because this post would take 5 pages but all we do is complain and live with it.
I’m not trying to be an asshole here. I’m just stating the facts and am tired of hearing the phrase that one day we will be pushed to the point. We are at that point already and what do we do? Nothing but the continual saying of “One Day....”
Most here have grey hair. What are they waiting for? Are they waiting for the next generation to do it?

We as a Country are falling apart. In so many ways. Again, the "fight" for our gun Rights is important, but I think it is small compared to many, many other issues.

the important part of "RESISTANCE" is the enforcement of the Rule-of-Law. Resistance starts with law enforcement NOT enforcing unconstitutional laws passed by socialist legislatures.

The whole bill of rights is under attack. Most of it has been all but abandoned by the courts.
The 2A is just the key holding the rest together. Once it's gone we have no more chance than the citizens of Hong Kong do against the Chinese.

What you don't get is that it doesn't take many to make a difference. Just a few who have decided they are willing to sacrifice everything if necessary.
Just one person like that acting alone could guarantee Trump another SCOTUS pick for instance. That won't reverse things on it's own obviously, but 100 people willing to do as much could. They wouldn't need to organize, they wouldn't form any organization that could be infiltrated, they would just decide one day "enough" and go do something that makes a difference.
Every few years we get someone like that, so far they haven't been smart enough to pick their targets strategically, but eventually it will happen.
The worse things get, the more common they will be, and even if they are only .001% of gun owners, and even if 90% of them are idiots, it will still have a profound effect on the whole country.

Unless you mean something else and I’m not following, people that do that are labeled terrorists like Timothy McVeigh. Hell. Even the ones that holed up in an abandoned government building and the leader was eventually killed by the FBI was labeled one and the masses ate it up.
If our resident truck driver decided to ram a government building in Albany and took down some responding cops that were trying to kill him, he would be labeled a loon and then people like Airborne guy and others would say that he was a criminal because one time he may have been arrested for something stupid. The narrative would keep changing by the police and media to demonize him.

In my original example of the SCOTUS judge, sure they would be called a criminal and worse. It would be accurate. Sure they would be killed or imprisoned for the rest of their life. Sure they would be called evil by virtually everyone on both sides.
But Trump would still get another SCOTUS pick.
