I will attempt to explain in a bit different way. I started this OC thing about four years ago. It was when I was working part time at Gander at the Firearms counter.
It was not my original idea. I actually got talking to a couple of regulars in the store about it. We started the topic because every time I saw them, they had their guns out in the open. It was their thing to fight back at the Bullshit that the State had been throwing at all gun owners for years. This was prior to me getting my current job. The way their "fight" went was simple; they would walk around just to see if anyone noticed. If someone did notice and said something, they would just ignore them and go along with their business. If they were in a store and someone would make a big deal about it, they would usually leave. There had been times that they would just claim to be cops. Most people would never question that. It was all part of their "game". The majority of people have no idea what is allowed and what is not allowed in NY in regards to guns. If they were ever stopped by the local Police, they said they would show their permits and thank the officer for correcting them. As of the last time I talked to them, no officers had ever stopped them. I have run into both of them from time to time and they are still doing the same stuff.
Again, this is just kind of a test towards members of society.
I do find it funny some of the reactions of some of the members here. A few actually said I should have been shot! Shot for having a gun showing in public. Pretty extreme if I do say so myself. Some of the ridiculous responses are part of the reason we have lost nearly ever battle in NY when it comes to our guns.
Sure, I may have come off as a bit dickish, not my intention. I threw the claim of being a cop, not because I am one, because I knew the guy would drop it with that statement. Anyone can say anything and the majority of people will believe it.
Whatever....
