Last NY gov election I kept hearing "if all the hunters, sportsman and gun owners voted, FUAC wouldn't be in office".

Looking for ideas to get the word out and get people off their asses and vote.

I would like to send a list of ideas to the candidates that are running against FUAC.

One of my ideas is start a gofundme page to fund renting billboard space. The message would be towards hunters, sportsman and gun owners to get them out and vote.

Or am I wasting my time?

What did NY GOP do to earn my vote? Cuomo is a scumbag, but he already scored his antigun points. Any new governor will want to do the same, republican or democrat. Looking at the past record, there is no difference.

You are wasting your time. People want something to vote for not just something to vote against. That is what it came down to with Trump. He gave people a positive reason to get out and vote. Hillary could only say I am a woman and I am not Trump. The Donald came out and told everyon his vision for America.

NY GOP politicians do the the same as Hillary, duh vote for me cause I ain't Cuomo.

Just toss a billboard up with that Cuomo quote, was along the lines of if you are pro gun, anti abortion, ect, you are not welcome in NY. Especially upstate that should rustle enough feathers to motivate people to get out.

With the number of people that usually turn out to vote during non-general elections, if everyone who supports the 2nd amendment and are also against politicians gradually laying the groundwork for a total or near total ban, then they would be able to restore some of the 2nd amendment. The issue is mainly getting people to go out and vote instead of making excuses as to why they will be too busy to vote.

While supporting the second amendment does not have to mean that you are against democrats,with the current platform message and their world views on the 2nd amendment and self defense in general, makes for shared platform policies and desires that seek the abolishment of the 2nd amendment and self defense in general. You can see the natural end of their policies in countries like the UK, Germany, France, and Sweden where people are arrested for injuring criminals in self defense, as well as it being illegal to even carry something like pepper spray in many of those countries.
