Walther Creed

Does anyone have any experience with this sub $300 Walther?
Our local shop has them for $295.
The reviews ive read are all very good with many people wondering how Walther made a gun with the "best trigger on the market" for under $300.
It is a pretty big gun and has a HiPoint look to it, but, it seems the quality vs price points make it hard to find fault.
Anyways, anybody know of any pros or cons?

I have shot range rental Creeds and, although I have a natural scepticism of Walther products out of their Umarex toy factory, the trigger felt better than out of the box Glocks, the grip was good, it had typical European contrast sights, it was a little heavy but light shooting and it looked like P99. The Range counter guy said they hold up and can get respectable 2 to 3 inch sandbag groupings with sig or federal ammo at 25 yards. I always question price drops and when Walther toggled MSRP for Creeds from 399 to 279ish in 2017, 2018, and again now ... it starts rumours of Walther dropping or modifying it. In light of the SIGish recalls of PPS M2's ... who knows. Reviews often claimed they were a near $600 to $700

At 300 Creed is a bargain. If you don't care about a couple of the details like swappable backstraps for grip size, then it’s hard to go wrong. It’s solid, easy to shoot, and runs like a champ. You’d be hard pressed to match the bang for the buck. I would rumour check the Walther forum about its continuation but I understand Walther has good customer service and parts support.

It is not a striker or a classic DA hammer. It is sort of both and called a half cocked hammer with I'd guess to be a consistent 4.5 to 5 pound pull.

Thanks for the insight. I've been interested in this as well. I've really yet to see a bad review on it. It seems to get very favorable reviews. I have held them and it felt good. IMO its too big to carry but good for other uses.

I have considered getting one but not sure about some of the things mentioned earlier in this thread and what actual purpose I would be buying it for. I guess I'm just mostly tempted because it seems like the best budget pistol out there but no clear niche.

The LGS owner, who I trust very much, says they are rock solid and alot for the money.
I would have no problem carrying it sometimes. Im carrying a GP100 3 inch right now with zero issues with a t-shirt.
Anyways, the LGS owner said he would throw in a 3rd 10 round magazine if I buy one. Ive wanted a full size 9mm, I only have a Shield 9mm now.....which is great.....but I cant stop buying gats!!

Kinda getting interested in the Creed after this thread Don't care for the mag release being so used to the Euro release of my P99, and the sick short reset that the P99 has that I love so much. But for the price it could be a great around the property beater. My poor P99 gets really dirty when I'm out and about doing things here.
