Pastor was talking about guarding the doors of certain places for protection and made a joke that they didn’t lay down Saul for “rocks” in his pockets when he entered the room. Made me chuckle thinking it was a rock that was the weapon of choice in biblical times when fighting- yet we didn’t ban and remove rocks from the land. It’s a rock then a gun now- banning the item used to fight doesn’t fix the one holding the rock….

We have a camera system with walkie talkies, a medical response team, AED, first aid kit, narcan, and armed guards. We have three AED’s in various areas and we actually do a pretty good job. It’s not perfect and there’s too many entries and exits for my liking but we’ve expanded and had to add on a few times now so that’s what you get.That is very good. Protecting others from evil is the righteous thing to do.
Kids are checked in with unique IDs and tags handed to parents and kids, to tag, no kid, kids are in one area of the building and locked from the remaining congregation. Workers are background checked. They take it seriously. We need more security members to go full scale and we’re trying but it’s hard to get people on board and in that mindset at church. We’ve had a few minor incidents and the one guy that came to our church kidnapped his daughter but not from our church. He had a mental break and just took her for a long unsanctioned walk but the cops found his wallet, cell and other personal belongings in the trash can so the cops freaked out.

Yes it does. I think church attacks will continue to rise as they currently are. The crisis pregnancy center my church was moderately affiliated with was fire bombed a few years ago and the FBI is still working on it. I have heard through the grape vine the FBI doesn't really care and hasn’t put much effort into it. That Jane’s addiction took credit for it and they have video of them. I’m not sure how good it is or what. I know the director of the center has been on the news a few times saying they aren’t working on it very hard and wanted to keep the video because of this but the FBI wanted the original. Why is that? Is it true?

They put more efforts towards someone painting a swastika on a Jewish center a few years back. I don’t support painting swastikas on anywhere but fire bombing a building is certainly worse. Hochul was silent.

At my niece and nephews bat/bar mitzvahs I was called up to the bimah (same as a church pulpit), which is where they read from the torah to the congregation. This is an honor bestowed upon close family and friends. I had my rock and extra rocks with me up there.
