I wouldn’t release my tax returns either. Reason being a combination of embarrassment and a healthy dose of “none of your damn business”.

I have no need to see his returns. I voted for him because he expressed a platform that resembled my views more closely than his opponent. His financial state has fuck all to do with it.

Again, how does a tax return tell you how much someone is worth? Nor does it tell you how much someone really makes. If you understand real estate you would know that most ventures can show a loss due to write offs like depreciation and the real money is made through refinancing. Real estate investors live off of distributions and they don't show on a 1040.

All you will see is ABC LLC, XYZ LLC, MAIN STREET LLC, etc. Those are flow through entities and they would have to examined to learn anything meaningfully. It's like you are an employee and get a W-2 what does that tell anyone about the company you work for?

It would lead to a deep dive into any and every monetary transaction he's been involved with. Their desperation to pin something actually illegal on him is amazing, and likely wouldn't be stopped by trivial things such as attorney-client privilege or statutes of limitation, or other trivialities that only matter to the little people.

what you are suggesting isn't just having him release his taxes, its them opening a full blown investigation which they can and are doing anyway. They don't need his permission for that. They just can't make it public without his permission or until they file charges.

What would releasing his most likely 2000 page 1040 show the general public? And yes i mean 2000 pages. I do a LI real estate developer and his return is over 1000 and he isn't international like trump.

The NYS AG has said her sole purpose as AG is to look into EVERYTHING Trump. If it has the name Trump on it or attached to it, the AG is going to go back at least 10 years. taxes, bank accounts, business dealings ALL OF IT, the AG is going after Trump.

this is without a doubt the most vindictive "investigation" possible. The only goal to to "find something".
