Westchester permit appointment time

I was told today by someone in the Westchester County Clerk's office that I couldn't get an appointment for fingerprinting and an interview until October 2021, a year from now? Do you reckon that maybe the timeline will become shorter and my appointment will be sooner than that? I have all of the paperwork ready to go and it's very frustrating to just have it sitting here for a year.

Lazy stupid government employees using Covid as an excuse. Proof that government employees are mostly non essential.

Thats inexcusable and people need to sue the county for this. The problem is most dont want to "ruin" their chances by making waves, but until someone does these ridiculous wait times will continue. Its designed to deter people from getting their permits in the first place.

But as topshot said, call every week looking for cancellations.
