Does any recall having to fill out a Westchester Authorization for release of personal information for a pistol permit?
I could be wrong but this form looks new to me.
That's new. This for a new permit? Looks like the county is covering their asses so they can look at your social media.

Wow. My head is spinning from this one. So you have to release all the records of your privileged discussions with your lawyer? What if you work in a business and signed a non-disclosure agreement? How about any martial secrets you share with your wife? etc
The overreach is really obscene. Very likely to be found unconstitutional on its face under both the 4th Amendment and 2nd Amendment.
If anyone is applying for a Westchester license and is willing to have some delay in getting the license so this can be challenged in court please PM me.
And Westchester will say no problem don't sign it and and don't get the exercise your second amendment rights. Someone needs to challenge this legally.I would never sign that. Overly broad and invasive with no expiration date. Gives them authority to look at anything, anytime. This needs to be challenged.

Exactly. Now you have been denied a Constitutional right by a clearly invasive law designed to to just that - infringe on your 2A rights. IANAL but I imagine a case like this where both your 2A and 4A rights are trampled on would be a layup for Jim O or others and could potentially unwind ALL of Westchester County's BS restrictions.
When do we stop rolling over for this type of nonsense?
Pfffttt...you cannot challenge common sense gun licensing requirements. And Westchester will say no problem don't sign it and and don't get the exercise your second amendment rights. Someone needs to challenge this legally.
That is odd, the wife of a friend of mine just got her Westchester permit about 2 months ago, she didn't sign that form.
