Westchester to NYC

Hello-
Does anyone know the procedure for changing a full carry issued by Westchester County to a NYC license if I change my address to NYC? Additionally, what about my rifles and shotguns? I know NYC is two different permits. Should I consult an attorney to make it a smoother process?
Please refrain from the "get out of NY" redirect. Believe me, I get it. Unfortunately I'm stuck here for at least the next 5 years. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just kidding. If you might change addresses then maybe you can apply for your NYC carry permit right now. It would eliminate any potential period where you don’t have a permit.

Or please consider suing NY over the fact NYC requires a different permit. That’s a ripe case.

I agree on all points. I just don't want to screw myself by trying to change my address and then NYC says I have to wait a full year of residing in the city before I can apply. Meanwhile I'm stuck in gun-less limbo.
