What low light treatment for iron sights do you recommend

I have a mini-14 and the front stock sight center post is tough to pick out on a bright sunny day as well as low light conditions. Any suggested treatment for that center post to increase the visibility? Please let me know what in your experience works well!

Layer of white then layer of fluorescent orange. Another layer of white then orange. Finish with a couple of coats of clear.
I've done a couple of revolvers, rifles and semi- autos rather than spend big bucks on plastic sights.

Infinitely repairable.

You could paint it with wite-out for the low light and it may also work for sunny days as well, if not, that sight lends itself to a slip-on hood. Very easy to make from sheet brass, aluminum or copper flashing, even an old soup can, tin snips and ten minutes will get you there.

low light no light iron sights .. no sights ... learn to shoot with both eyes open .. just focus on the target and hit it .. its called training ..

take off all that shit and go bare bones .. learn your guns for when shit fails ..
i have a old moss 22lr and can shoot it like her at times .. i grew up on it .. do the same with your modern rifles

few yrs ago i was yelling at my neighbor .. wood chuck .. what .. wood chuck .. where!! under your handicap ramp ,.. jump on it ..
he did ,... out comes the chuck .. and right to me running .. i only got 7 shots with this old moss .. all from the hip .. pew pew pew pew ..
front foot off ,.. back leg off .. 2 in the head /body i think .. but in the end it was a dead chuck .. and i still had a few more shots to go ..

shit my moss 500AT shot gun just has a brass bead on the end ..

A red dot or a weapons light.

Any scope will also gather more light

Is there a red dot or reflex scope offset mount that would work on this gun so you can use both the open sights and the scope?

If couldn’t use the scope off it would come leaving the irons.

Co-witnessing rifle irons to a mounted scope might be challenging.
