They do want a national SAFE act and have said as much. It is good at least that people will finally understand running to another state was never a real strategy.

I think the economy will actually be okay, as it takes time to truly destroy one through socialism (it's unclear how many democrats actually support that). Short term they are going on a spending binge with stimulus, but trump did the same.

My honest guess is most of our lives are not hugely impacted day to day. Stuff like guns would obviously hit many of us instantly, but it's more likely to be a slow boil: resolutions, executive actions, more rampant immigration, all this crap that just slowly changes the landscape.

If we do actually lose the senate as well, then it's going to be much worse. We'll see tax increases (nobody believes the $400k thing).

IF we keep the senate we should cheer it. We have a 5:4 court, we'd have the senate. It really hits them hard, and I see every reason to believe we'd come out guns blazing in 2022 election, yet the TDS now sated, would cut voter turnout among dems.

If the senate holds we will be ok. If not we will have tons of shit forced down our throats. Unlike the Republican failures the liberals will pass tons of new laws. The republicans sat with their thumbs up their asses. The new Supreme Court justices won’t be able to save us. I guess one good thing is Biden will hand out cash left and right so maybe NYS will give me my raise owed, I’ll get more stimulus money and be able to buy a nicer car. Also I’m hoping he shuts the country down so millions lose their jobs and prices of things plummet especially mustangs and Camaros.
The gun control thing will be bad and I mean bad if they control all three.

This is GOOD for us here in NY. The only way we'll ever get relief from unSAFE is to bring the rest of the country in on the fight. And the current makeup of SCOTUS is in our favor.

I think there is the real risk of a national safe act or gun buyback requirement. Look at how the rather poor democratic results in the house were spun by pelosi. I think she believes she has a mandate, particularly with a compliant press. That could be the spark that starts some real violence in the country.

I thought that the republicans maintained control of the senate. I felt it was at least a bulwark against the worst of the far left agenda. Now I find that the fate of the nation hinges on run off senatorial elections in Georgia. If the democrats prevail, the far left will run rampart. As we have found, there are no "moderate democrats." When push comes to shove, they will all march in lock step with the far left. Massive tax increases, open borders, free medical care and welfare to now "new immigrants," citizenship for anyone who can get into the country, end of energy independence, massive spending on the green new deal, gun confiscation, particularly of semi-auto rifle most useful in a "civil war." No protection of the constitution because of court packing with extreme left wing judges. Economic collapse. The results will be division of the US if we are lucky and/or civil war if we are not.

Once we are disarmed we are finished. Remember, the worst dictators in modern history were elected. Just as in a certain rich, well off Central American country, once the "socialist" is elected with total control, he/she will work to maintain that control. Disarm the people. So when they turn the whole country to s------, they can't be voted out. The people are helpless and those who oppose end of in camps or disappeared. As for concrete steps the right should be taking.

Step 1. Stop the bleeding.

When the right has control of the department of education again they need to use the common core infrastructure for our benefit.

Add "the horrors of communism/socialism" to the curriculum. At least a semester in elementary school and a year in high school. They can drop some multicultural BS to make room.

We don't need to censor the left wing speakers like they do us, we have logic and reason on our side. We just need to expose the kids to both viewpoints and they will come to the right conclusions.

Honestly Trump should have been doing this for the last 4 years.
