so ok way back when i first started carrying i had that new mentality of "oh no printing" or i can only carry a baby gun, but also didnt want a baby gun (hell this was even before the Glock 42 / 43 was rumored, but not like long before but enough that we all were wishing for a single stack and then glock was glock and didnt do anything for a bit until about a year after i got my license and then it was the 42)
So I could have gone with a G26 for something small and well its NY 10 rounds, and yea there is a pinky extension but thats not what i wanted, i wanted a glock 19, and then i still had this weird oh no people can see me "printing" which no they cant or if they do they really dont care at all. but i was young and decided meh why not chop my G19 into a G26, this way i have the best of both worlds kinda. Well since then i bought a Gen 3 G17 carried that for a good bit because i realized its not difficult (even at 5' 5" 130lbs) but traded that for a CZ P-07 which was carried for a bit, started to miss my G17 so i went out and traded a modified to make it FUAC ny legal VZ 58 for a new Gen 4 g17, chopped the grip and got a real nice shooting carry gun.
Ok so now that im done rambling, i have wanted to actually put my old dusty G19 back to its correct glory and hell if it was a Gen 3 that would be easy as balls, hell i could just do an 80% and have it a fun gun, or they sell stripped Gen 3 lowers all day for about $100. Black friday Suarez International even did a sale, Gen 3, G17, 19, 19RTF, 26, and 21SF all on sale for $65-100, but no Gen 4 G19, there was a Gen 4 G17 $100 but thats the only Gen 4. Oh but you could get a stripped Gen 5 G17 or 19 for $150
My thought of the day? Why is it Gen 3 frames are a dime a dozen and hell OEM can be found with almost no issue, or all 80%'s only set up for Gen 3's.. and hell even Gen 5 stripped OEM lowers are out there. Buttttt no love for Gen 4's ever (dont get me wrong i prefer the Gen 3 over the Gen 4s but only because, and the Gen 2 i mean sorry 5 doesnt do anything for me, id rather an actual gen 2)
ok end of my ramblings
