What's Up with this site on Saturday mornings?

It's between 1p - 3pm. Pages slow to load or not at all - white page w/ error message, also the "Oops" error message. Last Saturday was worse with 504 error code (gateway timeout) and 502 or 503 codes.
its been running fine since 8pm when i got on here ..

but it could be your internet provider ...
My ISP is fine, all other sites load fine. My connection is solid.
I know back-ups had been occurring Saturday mornings but that was changed. I wonder if they had drives set up to defrag/optimize (or some other maint) after back-ups (but it didn't get changed along with back-ups), but I'm not sure how they're set up.
I know there is a 2 hour period when the sight is scheduled to do updates. That is probably what you are experiencing.
Weekly dowload of all content by the alphabet agency perhaps.

Okay should be good now, for real this time. This was a secondary backup that I setup which really wasn't needed, so I disabled it all together.

FWIW the server time is set to UTC -1. Not sure if that's part of the problem, but there's damned little in UTC -1.

This is so weird, I have disabled the secondary backup. Investigating again tomorrow. Sorry guys! I'm not as think as you dumb I am.
