I'll admit I've pulled away from shooting a bit because things have just gotten so damn complicated as of late with the new laws and the back and forth rulings. It's mind boggling to keep track of.

Is there a resource out there to help track/understand not only the laws, but the ongoing lawsuits and injunctions?

Ammo has to have a NYSP NICS check............

BP guns need NICS,.........

BP guns need a NICS check? That's a new one to me. They're really getting absurd... how much crime has been committed with black powder guns in the last 50 years? Seems like they've given up on the 'it's for your safety' lie.

My brother who lives in New Hartford sent me this: Court's Latest Ruling on New York's Gun Laws

This is an interesting take:

There are still places licensed gun owners cannot carry.

"Where I think it would be excluded would be somewhere like the Yahnundasis, which is not open to the public; it's a private club," said Wolber.

So basically any "private" club? What about Sam's Club?

Is Sam's Club private - membership required to enter? I have a BJ's Club membership, and anyone can go in but you have to be a member to buy.

Where do laws stand is a very good question. Lets view recent history

Q- I need to charge someone but the statue of limitations has expired?

A- Have the state legislature pass a new law extend the limitation for the crime

Q- SCOTUS rules NYS permitting process is unconstitutional. What to do?

A- No problem, simply pass another more restrictive law and reset the legal process.

Q- A mayor of a large city isn't towing the party line on immigration and is being very critical of administration policy?

A- Charge the mayor with multiple counts of having a foreign govt owned airline upgrade seats without reporting it to the State Dept.

See, the law won't fix the problem as its simply a tool used for compliance. Open selective prosecution now the norm. :ROFL: :beer: :flag:
