Where to buy complete NY compliant AR

Not bringing any guns to NYC. I would go as far north as Ulster ir Dutchess and also out to LI. I prefer in person, in state sale of complete rifle as sort of an extra level of protection against later reinterpretation of the laws. I know it’s always a crapshoot but I suppose it’s a little safer that way.

I will check out Bullet Guy and Wallkill. Thanks for the tips. Any other suggestions?

Transfer has to be in person at a NY FFL even if you buy online for background check. Unless you use the gunshow loophole. Just ask any Dem for details.

I’m trying to find a reasonably priced, featureless, detachable mag AR for sale somewhere in the southern half of the state. I want a complete rifle and I want to hold it before I purchase it to test the feel of the new compliant stock. Anyone have any tips for places that have them in stock? Price info would be great too.

Go checkout DSI. They are located in Oakdale Long Island. They have featureless rifles, as well as a fixed magazine Rifle, which I have. I partnered that with the Mean Arms Loader and it’s better than cracking it open to load. Good luck

as someone who's bought a few smaller parts from them, their complete rifles are overpriced and from what i've heard are plagued with issues.

To be honest, while it might be pricey walking in there, it’s difficult to find a better brick and mortar store where you can shop for AR parts, especially if your looking to build.

I bought a fixed mag rifle used off someone on another forum for a very good price so I can’t knock it lol

which is why i use them for small parts when i'm in a bind, frankly though it's hard to justify buying a rifle from them when you can pick up a compliant S&W M&P for under 500-600. Even buying a base rifle from BG at 600 plus transfer still doesn't come close to being as expensive as DSI.

Just out of curiosity, where are you finding compliant M&Ps for 500-600? Not that I don’t believe you I just don’t see prices like that unless on the internet, but it’s never compliant ones.

Don't know personally. I've built all my own. That's how much i was told by two people i was talking to at the range who had them.

I have them. M&P are sometimes a few dollars more.....but at times i have them for $600 if i can buy then right.....

I have to agree that @bulletguy will do what you need. He built my complaint upper and if he doesn't have what you want in stock he can probably order it and if you find better prices on parts, which you might this week. He probably would be willing to do the gunsmithing required to assemble a compliant rifle.

Last place I'd go for a rifle or lower is DSI. Selling $600 rifles for $1k. Some of the sales staff are good, but most don't want to deal with you if you aren't buying what they're trying to drop in your hands.
