I personally only buy on line. You will do better with cost even after you factor in Hazmat.
Also what are you looking for? I have some powders and primers that I don't intend to use for a while.

I haven't purchased powder or primers online because I assumed that the hazmat fee would make those components much more expensive than purchasing from a brick and mortar store. Are the savings only for purchasing in large quantities such as 8 pound jugs of powder?

I priced it out with Powder Valley before seeing your reply. It only came out to about $4.00 more than I paid at a store an hour away from me. And that's only for 1lb of powder and 1000 primers. If I take into account the cost of tolls, I'll be saving money ordering online. And I know I'll probably order more than 1lb so the savings just add up. I'm going to check the other links you sent. Thanks again for your help.

Yeah, Let me know. I can meet you southern Dutchess if you want. Don't know where in Westchester you are so Thruway, taconic, 9, etc. Just throwing it out there if you were in a pinch and needed some sooner rather than later.

Davis Sport Shop in Sloatsburg (30-50 min away depending on where you are in Westchester) is where I buy powder and primers. They've had all the smokeless powders I've wanted to try. No black powder though, if you're into the smokey stuff.
