where to shoot clays?

i live in Rockland county and my son LOVES the Shotgun and shooting clay birds.
we have been to Thunder Mountain, but i cant afford going there all the time.

does anyone know a place to to shoot that isn't expensive. even if we have to bring our own birds and launcher.

I think Blue Mountain in Cortland Manor still does clay shooting and supplies the equipment. The range there is relatively cheap so clay shooting should not be too expensive. Check out their website.

Silly as this may sound, check out Groupon and look for orvis sandona. Beautiful facility for every once in a while.

Blue Muntain has 2 trap ranges, 1 international skeet and 1 regular skeet range. Every round is $8.00 with a Westchester county resident permit or $10.00 if not and is open Thursday through Sunday.

How far you willing to travel? Many gun clubs have open trap or something similar, where you don't have to be a member.

Walden Sportsman's Club has open trap Sunday mornings 9-12. Bring your gun and ammo. $5 per round for non members.

I think wallkill has sporting clays on Sundays also
