GSSF has charged my credit card! That's good news. Now waiting for some kind of confirmation or my coupon.

My wife and I joined at a gssf shooting event. I think we got our welcome letter and membership stuff in a week or so. It was pretty quick.

I got my GSSF welcome kit today AND a Trijicon Type 2 RMR HRS. The SOCOM model. So I'm committed to getting the MOS version Glock.

I'll call around to the Blue Label dealers. Also have to see how to buy out of county and out of state. Our county has a pre purchase coupon. Present it to the dealer and leave with the handgun. Then register the gun with the county. Saves a trip back to the store.

A couple of Blue Label dealers are close by in PA. So I have to see what the procedure is.

Having owned almost all the Glock models through the years, since they arrived in US, I can say without a doubt, the G19X is the finest model to date!

I called the closest Blue Label dealer in Avon, NY. He said takes 20 weeks to get the gun. I don't know if it's worth it. I think that's the procedure for LEO not GSSF.

I called the actual closest Blue Label which is in PA. About 30 miles. They get the gun from their Blue Label distributor. Depending on if it's in stock at the distributor, takes a few days. And they free delivery to a NY LGS not far from me.

Not sure exactly where you are, but check out The Firing Pin in Bergen. Most of the Blue Label guns I’ve purchased from them have been special ordered, but they have gotten them in within a week. Only once did I have to wait more than a week, and that was at the height of the Gen 4 buying spree.

If I recall, they started charging just a couple bucks above the advertised blue label pricing. There’s a lot of ground to cover between their shop and their distributor, so I don’t blame them for that. It’s still reasonable, considering the quality of their service.

Bergen is doable if if PA doesn't work out. Seems more reasonable than 20 weeks.

The saga of my GSSF Glock purchase continues.

I went to the PA Blue Label dealer in E. Smithfield. They will check their distributor to see how long to get the G17 gen 5 MOS.
They charge exactly what is shown on the price sheet, $489.50. And because it's PA and I'm NY, no sales tax. I will be sure to settle it up with Andy on my NYS income tax form. $25 transfer fee at LGS in Horseheads.

While there, I found an old Hi Standard Sport King .22 pistol with target grips. I'm thinking about trading in my Henry 17 HMR on it.

My Glock is at the PA store. The earliest they can get it to NY is Tuesday. So I went to fondle it and pay for it. I got the Gen 5 G17 MOS with glo sights. Can't remember the exact name of the sights. There was an up charge.

Anyway, I love to browse that store. I feel welcomed there. Deb who works the gun counter is amazing. A walking encyclopedia on guns. Very personable and helpful. No pressure easy to talk to.

Wasn't planning on another purchase. I was seriously looking at a Remington Rand 1911. Ended up buying a Sig P220 Elite in stainless steel in 45 ACP. I'll pick that up Tuesday also.

My Remington R51 should be in any day at my LGS.

Already have 2 handgun coupons from the County Clerk to use on Tuesday. Didn't know I'd need three!
