The article is so stupid that it made me dizzy.
Who takes long shots with a red dot and wo stadia or holding into whatever cheat your aiming system provides.
At a minimum one will find 2 or even 3 references in the most simple aiming systems including classic iron sights.
So it is not hard to switch from a 150 yard zero in my case to point tactic both eyes open up to 75 yards and then use whatever else the stadia has to offer for 300 and beyond.
A simple army mildot even 2nd fffp at a fix magnification not only will give you 3 useful reference points for 5.55 but also ranging pretty accurately giving you train and learn with it.
People trying to reinvent the wheel in the year 2020
