That skinny ass barrel ain't no good for shootin.....lmao might be good for 3 shots before the groups open up over an inch at 50 yards.
Once again, the Indian is blaming the arrow. Ha ha ha ha

They are light, can use any upper , just swap bolt into their carrier, good to go.. I put piston kit on mine with Daniel defense furniture, need to dremel a bit,but looks and runs great!
that's great!! How does the SCR lower being transferred, as Other FireArm ? or as Long Gun ? And does it come with the monte carlo stock?
I'm thinking SCR Pistol would be nice

I thought about that but you are left with a pistol that you cannot shoulder due to no buffer tube.If it has never been a rifle it will transfer as “other”. (Remember, once a rifle always a rifle )
I would ask the manufacturer if they do infact sell receivers only, or has someone just removed the lower from a rifle.
That's not bad looking at all!Well, I complete my SCR build tonight. I think it looks sweet. Now I just need some range time to try it out.

4 bills easyBy the way since I have the complete rifle, What would I be looking at $ to do a build like that?

@DrTom I picked up one of these a few weeks back as I posted earlier in this thread. I have been kind of busy and have not have a chance to put any serious range time in on the SCR. I got a good deal on the sporter model ( used but un-fired ) When I get the time to put more rounds down range, I will decide weather or not to upgrade the upper. I wanted this mainly for a Coyote wacker, I also have Mini 14's and accept the fact that they are not target rifles that what Bolt Actions are for!
As for the stock I may or may not need to put a cheek pad on it when I mount the optics.
I'm sure some of the others will chime it shortly!
So welcome to the forum!!
Get a complete rifle first. Then if you like it or want to get into something else you can build or have built an upper that fits your wants and desires.Thank you for the kind welcome, response and info. I saw the great deal you got on the used rifle;we should all be so fortunate! I'm really looking forward to getting one of these rifles but first finding out whether I should just buy the complete rifle from the Gun Broker, etc or if I should be buying just the lower and then buying different uppers (if I have the terminology right). My problem is that I don't know enough about these rifles to know whether I could put them together or not as one issue.
The second issue is that I don't know what to look for if I went the route of different lowers and uppers. Would it make more sense for me to just buy the complete rifle until I start shooting and become more educated?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Tom
A dust cover is not a deal breaker. If it doesn't cost any more sure, why not. If it costs more I would pass.Thank you all for the advice and recommendations regarding the SCR. It looks like you were already answerring many of my questions while I was responding to the first response!
It looks like I'll order the complete rifle with the Monte Carlo stock and possibly add a bolt catch(I've looked up what this is and what it does). I'm assuming I don't need a threaded barrell? The only difference I can see between the SCR-001 and the SCR-011 is that the in the 011 the UPPER RECEIVER INCLUDES EJECTION PORT DUST COVER. Can I assume that I want that also?
Best regards,
Tom
You don't want the threaded barrel.
There's no extra charge for the model with the dust cover so I guess that's the way I'll go and without the threaded barrel.
Please forgive this simplistic question but do these rifles come with a case or do I have to buy one separately? If I have to buy one are there standard sizes?
Thank you all again.
Best regards,
Tom
