The next election should be like Squid Games. Mike Rowe would probably win that too.

Haley changed, somewhere along the way, she got all screwed up.
Some people laugh sometimes. It's worth my effort. You always gotta ruin threads with jokes that no one laughs at?

I think your previous post was probably pretty accurate.
I might turn this into a covid thread now.Took you long enough to reply!!
I think she changed when Trump went kind of crazy……..which I can understand
My concern - I have a lot of friends who will simply not vote any ticket with Gabbard involved - and these guys are ex military
Until she comes out and categorically states that she has changed her mind and is a 100% supporter and believer of the 2nd, she has a major issue to overcome
She has not even hinted at that as yet - to me, that is a major issue/blocker for a Republican VP nominee
I am Military, I am Law enforcement, I am a huge 2A supporter and I think she will do a great job as second seat. Not first seat, second.
And that is perfectly fine as we all have choices to make
Simply saying that clearly there are concerns around her anti 2nd amendment views - I think she even sponsored or co wrote a bill to limit/remove large capacity mags and questioned the need for AR15s
I Need to find those articles
Tulsi Gabbard's Record On Gun Control Is A Moving Target
www.civilbeat.org
another example……
“Rep. Tulsi Gabbard: Gabbard’s campaign website includes a section on gun safety legislation. She supports universal background checks, closing loopholes in laws regarding domestic violence and suspected terrorism, and an assault weapons ban.”
Just those 2-alone leave me concerned
I have a feeling that if DeSantis, or anyone picks her, they will make sure she is set on the correct path.
What happens when/if she's the tie breaking vote? We already had one fine VP, Pence, on 1/6/20 teach us about relying on the VP to stand by their party.
I like desantis where he is. I think he is more valuable as a governor."Doesn't matter" should be a choice. That being said, I would like to see Trump in office for another 4 years. I don't think he'll even run though and the media has had plenty of time now to make even people on our side turn on him (see this forum). Some people's TDS is so real they say they would vote for Biden while simultaneously complaining about bad things brought on by the Biden administration. My reasoning is how much worse could he do than the poor excuse for a president that's there now? Mike Rowe would probably be awesome but he's not running and as others have pointed out is smart enough not to even think about it. Non starter.
That leaves the only realistic choices. DeSantis and Gabbard. Both career politicians . I still don't trust Gabbard as far as I could throw her so then there is DeSantis. Wouldn't be thrilled with him either but he could at least stop the bleeding while not really getting anything done. The not getting anything done being what comes with a typical politician. We need to go back to the beginning and get normal people in offices that have NEVER held office. That's why Trump was so effective. He didn't make all his decisions based on what it would do (or not do) for his political career.
