Just an update on my last post, I went to the butcher and checked the deer out. The infected area was already cut out, the rest of the meat looks fine and smells fine so I'm going to give it a try. If I stop posting a few days after Christmas you'll know why

Our last day spot, thick pines with old clear cuts, lots of apple trees. Deer are digging them up.
I saw 7 doe, my brother 11. Only buck was standing in the field just up the road. If a doe gives me a shot, I'm taking it.

Just got home. Took a Doe with smoke stick I pushed to a friend. I gotta get my pic off his cellphone to post LOL. Got her at last few minutes 4:15 Pretty cool. I pushed them up a funnel to a chain-link fence grin.

Went out almost thirty times this season and only got one deer. Such is the struggle of hunting high pressure public land. Really wanted one with the muzzle loader but seven hunts during MZ resulted in no shot chances unfortunately.

My CVA wolf is a stunningly accurate gun though. Approx MOA which ain't shabby at all!
