just because something is perfectly legal doesn’t stop the NY AG from abusing their office, sending out cease and desist letters and threatening companies with lawsuits. Which cause them to do a risk assessment and stop doing business with NY residents. The latest target of the NY AG is websites that sell 80% parts kits, even though there is no law against selling/ buying/owning/ completing 80% guns.

NY has no jurisdiction over them as an out of state company. The online ammo ban itself has been failed legislation for over 7 years. Any complaint or non-enforceable "order" would be dead on arrival. Order on.

Please explain why there's a plethora of companies that no longer ship to NYistan. NY has no jurisdiction over them either. Yet they all went poof!

It's been 7 years. The law wasn't enacted. They're all set. And again, they aren't some super secret website that only you can see with your magical glasses on. They are known to all parts of the country. Lots of paranoia around here lately. You do know the AG has internet access and can google ammo suppliers, don't you?

The question was answered. It is a business decision for certain companies not to ship to the state. There are certain zip codes where it is illegal to ship ammo via local regs. Not state wide. For some companies, it may not be worth it to dedicate processes to sift and sort orders and vet all of the local regulations. If zip code 1234 orders $152 of product from me for the last 5 years, is it worth my time and manpower to continue to serve that market? If NY is a weak market I will focus on the bigger fish. For smaller companies or companies with different visions it may be within their scope and vision to serve NY. Again you need to ask the company why they do not serve the state. You already knew that though. You also already knew that there is no state penal law or consequences baring a company from shipping to NY in general. And finally for the last time, you already knew that TARGET SPORTS isn't a secret website that only people here can see.

At this point, the only reason the NY government has any interest in finding out who is still shipping ammo to this state is to make sure they get their tax cut. With any criminal enterprise the Vig overrides all else.

The lesson here as with many other things besides ammo is don't wait for an emergency to happen to prepare for one.

I did find one that is shipping... honestly, this whole subject is making me fucking ill trying to understand. People get their heads chewed off on this forum for asking... I did a google search and I have fucking migraine from the white paper I found that attempts to explain the SAFE act. I am not really sure what the hell I just tried to read and I am not sure it it's a law or not.
