Why An AR-15 Is a Necessary Weapon for Citizens to Own

A couple years ago my family and I were fortunate to get past an attempted violent home invasion. We live in an upper middle class neighborhood that was statistically one of the safest in the country and we do not fit in any crime risk profile. So, one asks "why is an AR15 a neccessary weapon for a citizen to own"? In the middle of the night when a team of at least four thugs (a now common invasion composition with separate lookout and driver) come kicking at your door, the most effective means (in common use to defend yourself and your loved ones for the 20 minutes before the 911 calvary shows up) is an accurate, reliable, purpose built, semiauto, carbine with sufficient round capacity to stop the threat. My life experience has shown with no doubt or reservation that a purpose built AR15 with standard 30 round magazines is essential for self defense in this deteriorating state. I am furious that Andrew Cuomo's sociopathic ego, searching for progressive snowflakes' support, determined that my family's lives are worth less than his false anti 2A rhetoric. We should all be woefully aware that progressives, RINOs, and FUDDs are wrong and an AR15 is a neccessary tool that a citizen has a inalienable right to own.

(Note: I edited out the comment discussing FUAC likely rotting in hell for eternity. Pretty sure he is convinced there is no consequence for evil.)
