I wasn't exactly looking for an anecdote when I asked for an example.

I know a guy that carried outside of administrative restrictions and the judge loved it so much he bought him a steak dinner.

Years ago, NYC used to issue restricted licenses like other counties. They got rid of them and now only issue Premises licenses because people were caught carrying anyway.

The reason why Bloomturd issued premise licenses is so he could make sure you get arrested if you took gun out of 5 boroughs. NYPD cops told its ok to go outside to range with premise only licenses.
So if you took nyc gun to say Sullivan County and got caught, they could arrest you.
That's the basis of whole Scotus case imo that really wasn't resolved,as yrs,yes, can take guns now to a 2nd home or state where you may have another license, but it's still same premise card that says right in it premise only... that means can't take out of house....So I guess NYC really does whatever it wants..
Same way 2008 Heller said every home in USA can have a pistol in it,except you need permit to buy a gun in nyc...
