Authorities Searched Damond's Home; Law Prof Believes That Could 'Cause An International Incident'

Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigators were granted permission to search Justine Damond's home hours after she was shot and killed by a Minneapolis police officer, according to court records.

A criminal law expert can't understand why.
"I don't understand why they're looking for bodily fluids inside her home," said Joseph Daly, an emeritus professor at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, referring to one of two recently-released search warrant applications.

"Whose bodily fluids are they looking for? Is she a suspect? I don't understand why they're looking for controlled substances inside her home. I don't understand why they're looking for writings inside her home. The warrant does not explain that to me."
"When I read that search warrant, I really cannot find probable cause to search her home," he continued.

A WOMAN approached the back of a Minneapolis police car and “slapped” it shortly before Australian woman Justine Damond was shot and killed by an officer, according to a search warrant filed by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The search warrant obtained by Minnesota Public Radio doesn’t specifically say that the woman was Justine Damond, but: “Upon police arrival, a female ‘slaps’ the back of the patrol squad ... After that, it is unknown to BCA agents what exactly happened, but the female became deceased in the alley.”
The events following Justine’s death just get stranger

They searched her home to protect the Somali muslim that executed her. Were the races reversed, it never would have happened and the officer would be in jail. Look for this to quietly be called justified and nothing to be done, while the media steers way clear of mentioning it at all.

This too me is simple, it really is; if this scumbag cop made a mistake, admit to it. From everything that I have read so far in regards to this killing, he was completely wrong in shooting her.

First I read that he heard fireworks in the background, okay, maybe he did. No reason to shoot. We here on this forum have all shot guns, they do NOT sound like fireworks. Now, he says he shot (Across his seated partner) because he heard a slap on the back of the vehicle. Really? Even if there was a slap. slapping a trunk does NOT sound like gun fire. If this is his reasoning, I have a question, So, she called the police, they arrived. She ran up to the back of the vehicle, slapped it then ran to the driver door where she was shot on site? Wow, that is really, really reaching.

This will NOT go down as a good shoot!

BTW, why was the chief fired?

BTW, many are blaming the lack of training on this. Many are jumping on the wagon that he killed her because she was white and he was a terrorist. I disagree with both of these points.

I think he is just an idiot and should be charged, tried, convicted and sent away to prison for quite some time!

Based on what I have read the most likely story is this guy was recruited and promoted within the police department as a political tool. Look at how wonderful our police department is! Why we even have a somali muslim on the force!

That narrative was all well and good until the officer in question apparently panicked for no good reason and shot an unarmed woman in her pajamas who was ACROSS HIS PARTNER. Really - WTF. The cop closest to her doesn't think she is a threat but his partner assesses the situation and says "oh yea I need to shoot this person." Sorry, I am not buying it. No doubt his test scores and grades in whatever academy he went to will be sealed to protect his mediocraty.
