Tainting Pink Floyd’s name to push his political views. What a jackass. I know Gilmour is a socialist but Atleast he doesn’t push his views at concerts in the bands name. Do it to your own songs not Pink Floyd’s.

Promised myself last year I was never going to a waters concert.
Hes been doing this for decades.
Hes always been a bleeding heart liberal and, if you listen to his lyrics, they are almost always political.
I dont care, ive always liked PF and "The Wall" and "The Final Cut" are 2 of my favorite albums of all time......Waters wrote both.

His music isnt necessarily liberal politics, just politics in general.
Alot about WW2 and the misery of an oppressive government.
Acctually listening to his words, you would assume his views are opposite what he preaches now.
Alot of talk of kikes, nips and ni**ers.
For me its the actual music.
The older stuff with Sid Barrett until the late 80s are what I listen to.

Well,
The Wall starts with "Pink" a guy who grew up rough with an abusive mother. His father, whom he loved dearly, died in WW2.
Pink begins to build a metaphorical wall around himself to protect him from the world around him, including his teachers that abuse him also.
He becomes a rockstar but the wall continues.
At a point, he can no longer preform.
His manager hooks him up with a psychedelic drug to help him preform on stage.
During a fit of rage he almost kills a groupy and has hallucinations of being a Nazi, using his "brownshirts" to remove people he hated from his life.(this is where In The Flesh come in).
After coming down he realizes his insanity and tears down the wall.
Starting at the top of what I wrote, all the songs on the album fit in order pretty much.

Their first album is nothing but noise. "The Wall" is still one of the greatest selling albums of all time.
actually, one of the greatest concerts I ever saw was Pink Floyd at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse. We took a Limo there, we were stoned 30 min into the concert and never touched a joint LOL just had to breath

I've loved PF for decades. Best concert I ever saw was them performing A Momentary Lapse of Reason in '83 or '84. Outstanding light show to accompany the outrageous music.

Excellent concert ! I was in that crowd somewhere. I actually saw Both Pink Floyd carrier dome concerts. The first in 87’( Momentary Lapse of reason) and then again in 94’ ( Division Bell)

Nah. Pink Floyd hasn’t sucked since Syd was removed. After roger left it I feel like it actually became better. He was very controlling from what I heard.
