Typical internet keyboard warrior, when you can't handle the message, attack the messenger.
Message what message, you insult people you know nothing about, you talk bullshit everyone knows is bullshit, all because you woke up with nothing to play with and thought I’ll talk bullshit to people I can hide from behind my computer screen..... GREAT MESSAGE!!Typical internet keyboard warrior, when you can't handle the message, attack the messenger.
I wondered that too. Heavy for a hunting rifle where someone would be in terrain for long shots where a 300 comes into play too.Depends on what you want it for, killing or target. If it is just target there are less abusive rounds to chamber a rifle in.
Yep 17 lbs plus a treestand and gear gets a little heavy....lolI wondered that too. Heavy for a hunting rifle where someone would be in terrain for long shots where a 300 comes into play too.
I was referring to the Ruger rifle people were originally referencing. Before this thread jumped a sea of sharks.Yep 17 lbs plus a treestand and gear gets a little heavy....lol

Another different type of flooring.I insulted nobody, "just the facts Ma'am.". If you feel insulted I apoligize. Sorry the inconvenient truth about "long range wounding" upsets you.
Anybody who sites in a box stand on a clear cut hardly qualifies as an expert on long range shooting. Nothing I said was BS, rather based on experience, the opinions of real experts and Physics 101.
1000 yard rifles are not sold at Wally World.

You know Miles I think you're on to something there, from now on when I post a pic of my completed current project, ima put a lil sign in the pic says 'SmallGameAddict', I like to keep up my credibility.Another different type of flooring.
True story. I just thought it was a neat rifle. Example of what's out there. Heck, the price isn't even that bad. This tread could have been interesting before the troll showed up.
I always research a LOT before I decide, and spend the money.I have a 300 wm project. Getting parts and doing research. Kinda took a back burner when I picked up my savage 6.5cm
How come the guide is holding up your trophy, too frail?Age has nothing to do with telling the truth.
But it does seem some people just can't accept the fact that with age comes wisdom.
Write yourself a note to check back when you are my age, to see if you can still climb up on a 16 hands quarter horse, spend 2 weeks in the back country from 7-10,000' up in a tent where it actually gets cold and then take a sheep like this. It's just a bit tougher than riding a truck, unloading your ATV and climbing into a ladder stand with a thermos of coffee to wait for some hapless Whitetail to appear.
I did all that with a longbow (no ATV) back when I was a ute living in the Empire state.

I have a similar 'project' going, on the back burner because of my ongoing upgrades to the 30-06 for hunting this fall. It is a Rem 700 ADL Synthetic, .243 Win, the bargain basement version. Inexpensive way to gain a Rem 700 barreled short-action. Came with a junk Chinese scope and rings/bases. So far I have removed the (ugh) plastic trigger guard, and replaced it with the Remington ADL black matte STEEL trigger guard, also replaced the included rings, bases and scope with Warne Maxima rings/bases, and a Leupold VX-1 2-7×33 scope I had laying around. Also disassembled, thorough cleaning and lube, torqued large stock screws to 30 in lb Rem specs, and small front trigger guard screw to 10 in lbs. Someday- new aftermarket stock, likely a Boyd's AT-One. Right now, I got bigger fish to fry.Really want to try the 6.5 cm. It was the cheaper route before I put it in a chassis.
Used to love that, and Go-Go Gophers lol
