Hell yea I'd enjoy shooting at 100-400m targets at beautiful ranges within the Swiss Alps.
I also enjoyed shooting a USPSA match with my concealed carry piece to stress test the gun I carry most days. I get to go hunting for whitetails with my .44 Mag revolver or my .300 Blackout AR. I had a ton of fun shooting my AR one impromptu day at an informal range my buddy brought me to upstate in a patch of woods. I love going to ranges in different states and getting a feel for the gun culture state to state.
Yes, the Swiss have an OK gun culture, but the reality he doesn't show is that it's fading. Sport shooting is on the decline in Switzerland and seen as an "older" crowd activity with fewer young people interested in it. Besides that, the Swiss can't carry to protect themselves, they can only possess to protect their country. He also makes a big deal of the sense of comraderie and community in the Swiss shooting culture. I have that with my hunting buddies. We hunt deer mostly, but we'll get together to hit the range, go to or host game dinners, try out different hunts like a PA snow goose hunt where we all struck out, then had a grand time BBQing afterward.
He's the type of American that romanticizes the foreign while demonizing the domestic.
