Anyone else that voted early. Did they scan your driver's license and make you sign on a tablet?

I'm pretty sure requiring an ID to vote is a hate crime in NY.

They only scan for the tablet to look your information up. I believe it is not required as they can manually look you up. They claim it speeds things up.
They said they needed her DL or voter reg card. I am thinking about calling the election board.

Never been asked for ID. You are only supposed to be asked for ID if you are a first-time NY voter AND did not provide a copy of your ID when registering. Not sure if early voting might have a different requirement.

Do it. This doesn’t seem right to me. I have voted in every election since 1998 and I have never been asked. They ask your name and you sign the book.

We don't like showing ID to vote now?!?! I'd be happy to show them, but I would not have let them scan my DL though.
The only place I tolerate that is the airport. There are businesses I will never go to again because they insisted on scanning my license, and that's not cool. Thought about 'disabling' the barcode.

I have never been asked to show ID, but I always show mine to the poll workers.
