I realize that this headline must sound extremely bizarre, but in this article I will explain why this could actually happen. We have just learned that the FBI has obtained a search warrant that will enable the agency to examine approximately 650,000 emails that are sitting on electronic devices owned by Huma Abedin and her estranged husband Anthony Weiner. Now that the FBI is going through these emails, it is unlikely but still possible that a decision about whether or not to charge Hillary Clinton with a crime could be made by November 8th. Of course the most likely scenario is that Hillary Clinton will not be indicted before election day and that Americans will be voting with this scandal hanging ominously over the Clinton campaign. But if the FBI does quickly take action, it is possible that Hillary Clinton could be forced from the race before election day, and that would require the Democrats to come up with a new candidate.

In fact, there are already calls in the mainstream media for Clinton to willingly remove herself from the race. For example, the following comes from a Chicago Tribune article entitled “Democrats should ask Clinton to step aside“…

For the love of God no. Not going to happen. Would they even be allowed to incert another candidate this close to the election? I think what would be more likely is a huge uproar from the DNC trying to stay in the race somehow and probably pulling every trick in the book to do it. But I think most dems would at that point be voting third party or for Trump.

Those early voters voted for the electoral college delegate, not for the candidate. The electoral college delegate will vote for whoever the party puts up.

ANSWER: False. When you cast your ballot on Election Day, you aren’t really voting for the candidates themselves. You are actually casting your ballot for a slate of electors (either Republican, Democrat or third party). If the RNC or DNC were to decide to replace its nominee with someone new, then the electors would simply vote for this new candidate during the meetings of the electors on December 19. The bigger issue would be educating voters and reminding them that they are actually voting for the slate of electors, not for the name they see listed on their ballot. Please note that states also retain some power in this area, regardless of what the RNC and DNC decide. For instance, they could potentially allow electors to vote for a vice presidential nominee in place of a presidential nominee.

As the chicago tribune points out, hillary should step down. As it points out, she won't. Even if she was indicted this afternoon, I don't believe she would step down. She really is like a desperate dictator who will never willingly release power. Ever. It absolutely must be taken from her, never granted willingly. It is so incumbent that she not be potus and pardon herself.

I think there are even odds now on her being indicted, but it may not happen for a long while. If she loses next week, I will no longer care that much. The DOJ has shown they are worthless. If she loses the oval that is enough for me, and any indictment would carry a slap on the wrist anyway.
