Will NYC Change our Premise permits?

Just curious to know if after the city lawsuit was deemed mute if they will practice what they preached.
If we are allowed to transport pistols to a 2nd home or out of state where we have a 2nd gun licence,we will need something that says we are allowed to possess or carry it out of the city. If you lived in Manhattan, and you are stopped in let's say Sullivan County, the cop is going to say " this is a premise permit, that means premise" and he or she would be correct.
So will they issue a new card?
Or will we need another suit hopefully with better lawyers as this case should have had other requests in it so it would have had forced litigation..

Yep. That's what I hope happens so maybe then people will wake up.
That green card was designed by Bloomturd so we could illegally take pistols to range in 5 boros and a nyc cop was instructed it's ok as long as within boros.so if you went out of boros cop could say premise permit and illegal to take out of house..equals arrest..
Now if they use same card, what happens? Why would an upstate cop care? They will still arrest you and card says Premise only..
How did nobody else understand this?

I said this plenty of times. NYS should get rid of the safe act or just make NYC have it. If you have a pistol permit you should be able to carry anywhere but once you enter the city that’s when the safe act comes to play meaning only 10 rounds and all that BS. I think this is pretty fair because let’s be real, the unSafe Act doesn’t save lives nor prevent gun related “deaths” but does leave you vulnerable and criminals love it. Almost half of NYC carry guns, let’s stop playing the I have a bigger dick card.

PS I somewhat doubt 4 million NYC residents carry guns.

I know NY doesn’t care, there’s no doubt about that. As long as Queen Cuomo and other Anti2a politicians are in office it’s going to stay that way. I learned my lesson here on this forum. The second part wasn’t meant to be taken seriously still FUAC.

The lawsuit wasn’t about administrative restriction so no you can not legally concealed carry your pistol under a premise permit. The lawsuit was about you being able to take it to a gun range or another residence outside of NYC that’s it. So yes right now and you could before take your pistol from NYC to a gun range or a second home outside of NYC. That doesn’t mean you can concealed carry anywhere outside of that private property such as your home or the gun range.
I don’t see them updating your permit card. It will still say premise permit.

Years ago, NYC had the same licenses that we do. They used to issue restricted carry licenses stamped with hunting and target only. People carried on those anyway since it’s legal to do as per the Penal law.

They couldn’t convict them of a crime so they started issuing Premises Licenses. With those, carry is illegal since you do not have an exemption for carry and you are subject to prosecution.

They will not ever go back. They will just allow you to take it to a second home now or hunting with hopes that a cop from that town will not arrest you. He can however if he goes via the penal law since the premises license only gives you an exemption to possess only at the address listed on the license.

NY should just have 1 license (Which they do) a full carry license that’s all. Now everyone in any county in NY would have a full carry license. It’s stupid how living in Suffolk County they only issue “Sportsman” but yet can’t do “Sportsman” activities with it only to the range, yet someone from upstate can happily come to Suffolk with a full carry and do whatever. NYC should have Full carry also doesn’t matter if it’s residents only or just stricter laws but still a full carry.

Only a brain dead lawyer cannot see that removing a gun on a premise’s license from it’s location is illegal. They know this. It specifically says so in Penal Law 400. But our lawyers won’t argue this.

A lot of people say NY is too far gone. I’m a very optimistic person but I’m starting to believe that a little bit, each and every day. Criminals get bailed and commit crimes again and probably get qualify for another bail. People are using feelings more than common sense and I don’t think NY will have a bright future.

Yep, and good luck claiming that you're transporting it via the exemption. The second home exemption specifically states that you must be taking it to an "authorized premises" for that handgun, meanwhile the NYPD and many counties downstate maintain that you can not have a handgun on multiple licenses. What a crock of shit.

Ny will never get better or change. I'm an old timer. It only gets more restrictive. Moving is not for everyone unless your really committed to be free,or you can have loads of fun with a ny compliant rifle..Maybe for you,not for me. As soon as wife retires,I'm out.

Me too. About 9 more years before I’m eligible for retirement. Guns isn’t the only thing making me leave. Money. If I sell my property, I can upgrade my living conditions by moving down south and have no mortgage at all and live off my pension very nicely. I can buy a lot of house for the money my condo will sell for and have some left over. Why should I pay close to 700 bucks a month for property taxes here on a condo when I could pay about that for the whole year on a house? Car insurance would be cheaper as well.

There is absolutely no reason for me to stay here. I did the numbers. It would be cheaper to live down south and fly or drive here twice a month to be with family if we wanted to.

I use to be extremely optimistic about Ny.Was a great city,still is for food and night life,but the freedoms here shrink by the hour. Democratic leadership has a stronghold. We are deplorables to them. I'm surprised they didn't ban old guitars here due to the woods they were made with yes, it's that bad. People waiting 6 months plus for lousy green permit that went unchanged after court case...Very bummed out,never gets better. Been on its way down since the 90s...
