.475 A&M Magnum
So I've been wanting to get a scope for my girlfriend's late farther's mod. 70 carbine. A sale happened and I managed to get a Nikon Pro Staff BDC in 3×9×40mm. I bough Leupold mounts and rings for it and it just seems weird to me. The rear mount looks fine but the front mount seems like it's meant for a larger action. It's hanging over the action by about a half inch. I have mo idea if this will interfere with cycling and ejection or not. Considering the scope it seems like this is normal as far as mounting. This is a Winchester Model 70 Carbine in 30-06. These mounts were advertised as fitting the model 70. They are the "standard mounts". Anyone have input? Thnx!!
