As I understand it to work as intended the film must be well secured not just to the window, but to the window frame itself. Otherwise the entire broken glass pops out pretty easily. Either structural caulk is used to bond the film to the window frame, or preferably a special frame attachment system (3M IPP) is installed. Because the film can be quite thick it is somewhat of a beeatch to install (or so I've been told).This is first I've ever seen this product. Pretty cool. I want to learn more about it now

Did that include caulking or the holder thing?I had a company come out and give me an estimate to do my 1st floor windows and cost was around $800 for 15 windows
