folks this fellow is in a bit of a different environment than we have in upstate NY . He does seem to know his subject matter . better than some folks making you tubes . my main concern would be having that prairie grass so close to the fire .. he mentioned embers hitting his plastic . That grass has oil in it .. We have switch grass here in NY state planted by the Dec for cover crops. I have had a controlled burn with 20 acres before and it took only 10 minutes for the entire field to burn .. On the prairie a fire of these types of grasses (warm season ) A person cannot outrun the fire .(at times )

Anyone stationed at Ft. Sill Ok. knows about range fires, unbelievable how fast one can start and spread. My unit lost a lot of equipment in one fire that started close by (cigarettes'?) we had to do an emergency displacement and didn't even move our camo nets before driving thru them. Generators camo nets even gunpowder was left to burn. All along the OK turnpike are signs "DO NOT DRIVE INTO SMOKE" yet someone always does and many time dies.

If anyone wants to try sleeping out in upstate NY in winter I have a -20 deg sleeping bag you can borrow.

I think this was a very good video. To test myself I watched the video before the comments. Here’s my thought.
I thought the same thing about the grass bed and a fire hazard.
secondly where did the shotgun come from and go? He shot the rabbit but only had a bow and arrow.
Why bury the extra meat? Why not hang it from a tree?
My other thought was no way that back pack carried that much in supplies. His canteen, the full roll of duct tape, and the pot would take up more space than the backpack has.
What I really liked is the long burn fire. I would not have thought about that on my own.
