Yep, either that, or someone blew her ass in. Apparently, her guns were all registered as there were no other specific gun charges. Can't forgo the possibility that the cops knew she was a handgun owner from her license tag (the cops in my hometown did), or that they pulled the old "Do you have anything I need to be afraid of in your vehicle" BS. And she probably didn't think twice in answering such an inquiry, affirming that she was a licensed CCW holder.... Or, she may have been driving her spouse's car, or something similar.

I remember when I was living back in New Yorkistan, with my kids in school, how between dropping them off in the morning, or picking them up after school, since I was already on the local PD's radar, that I NORMALLY either left my gun at my office, or took or left it home BEFORE going to their school, and got re-strapped afterwards. I do also recall a couple of times when I had to pick them up unexpectedly while carrying, and I made them walk off school grounds to the public road nearby.

It was a huge PITA, but there was no way I was going to give those fuckers an opportunity.

When I have been stopped by the cops, and asked where I am coming from, I have pointed behind me and said "that direction". Where am I headed was met with a similar response, "that direction" while pointing to the front of my vehicle. Cops asking questions are NOT your friends, and it is none of their damn business anyway.

If they're asking those questions 99% of the time it's to trip you up and try to catch you doing something that they otherwise wouldn't be aware of. They're not trying to be friendly or talkative.

Saying less is best.


Clearly nothing happened prior to this encounter when she was at school, she clearly wasn't a threat to anyone, but yet because of a few words in another encounter not on school property she is now going to get to be made an example out of and have her life ruined when she was otherwise just going about her way.

I don't bring guns to schools, but don't quote me on this, but I believe the the federal Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 was deemed unconstitutional.

If done up right, I could see this hit SCOTUS. But I doubt it.

However, there is likely way more to the story than what meets the article, and what they are willing to let out to the masses. As usual.

Unless they have reasonable and clear evidence (testimonies from people at the school from witnesses, video camera footage, etc), this will likely get thrown out.

At the end of the day, hopefully she learned that cops aren't your friends during a traffic stop and to keep your damn mouth shut.

Or in other words use the verbal judo against them.

And if you aren't good with verbal judo, then best way is silence and be very, very generic if answering questions.

When I am pulled over by the po po l don’t want to give them any excuse to screw up my day. All l want is to continue on my way.
I don’t consider them as adversaries in the first place , most of them in my local seem to normal folks who just want to work their shift an go home to their families.

There have been times over the years where l have encountered some real pricks that I could tell were on some kind of power trip, looking for a reason to cause pain for whatever reason- stale donut, who knows?

I’d like to know the backstory here. Could be a cops ex girlfriend or someone somebody doesn’t like. It’s not hard to figure out if she was coming from the school. Her kid could have been in the backseat with a backpack and 12 kids running around right after the school bell. They did say an investigation so what’s that mean? He asked her and she said yes ok then dumb. He asked her and she said no but this cop had a hard on for her so he went and looked at the school cameras or asked teachers.
I agree don’t talk to the cops because even in my experience ones you know won’t record what you say accurately anyway in their report.

I don't know if this would help her (and hopefully her attorney) fight this, but there was a case in the City of Buffalo / Erie County several years back. Time gets blurred, but I seem to recall it was before 2018, and after 2012?

Anyway, what happened was that a man who may have either been mentoring students at the school, or possibly working there, was spotted carrying concealed, and someone called it in. A big ass police response ensued. In any event, they arrested him. He claimed that he had forgotten that he was even carrying, and that he realized it when the cops showed up, - which is when he tried to get out of the school but it was locked down, and I think he tried to play like he was invisible...But I recall that they frisked him and found it.

He was a somewhat politically connected black guy from Buffalo's East Side Ghetto, and the screaming began immediately that it was racist to be going after him. Ended up that either the DA refused to prosecute, or the Judge let him off. But he DEFINITELY got off.

Wondering... Did she enter the school building, or even get out of her car when at the school? Or did she just drive onto school grounds to pick up her kid/s?

And just curious here, why did she have three hand guns in her car? Not that she isn't allowed to have them, it just seems a bit odd is all.

The article doesn't say if the woman was carrying or not. She could have had them in a case in the trunk of the car, for all we know. As I understand it, just that she had them on school property is all the cops needed to arrest her.

You may be referring to Buffalo's own SJW crusading Reverend, Darius Pridgen? However, I am not aware of Rev. Pridgen doing such a thing.
