Sad thing is in nys you'd be arrested for even pulling a gun on this thief. Your life was not in danger. Then after firing the warning shot you'd be charged for that as well here in NYS. While I have no issue with her pulling the gun for the robbery I do disagree with the warning shot since it could injure an innocent. In nys you have a duty to retreat. My recommendation would to call the police and be a good witness. Take pictures or whatever don't pull your gun. You can not defend your property only lives in nys.
