I would follow the laws and the Constitution. All Americans have the right to peaceably protest and assemble. I did not see that on either side, the protestors as well as those protesting the protestors. Both sides of these lines were filled with some serious hate and disdain for the rule of law. Do not confuse issues, whether I agree or not with a political stance, you break the law, as long as that law falls within the constitution, I will enforce if need be.
If all sides do not begin to wake up and realize what they are doing, we are doomed. Neither side is 100% correct. They all have some serious issues that they need to deal with and deal with it quickly.

If reports are correct, the right were relatively peaceful, until they were led into the Antifa mob by the police.
The feds are known to create terrorists from dupes for headlines, not sure I would put it past a left wing mayor to orchestrate the same sort of thing here.

Well said. Perfect response. I agree both sides acted poorly.
The cops can only do so much sometimes. The cops are sorely outnumbered in these situations and at serious disadvantages.
The cops are the "fall guys" in situations like this. None of the whiny bastards on either side are willing to take blame, so they blame the cops, easy target. Sounds like the loud mouth Nazi's weren't as tough as they wanted everyone to think. "Waaah. The cops didn't save us from the snowflakes. Waah."
Too bad they all didn't kill each other.
Anyway, this why I've come to the realization that I should feel bad for no one and I will not feel ashamed when I'm enjoying my pension and full medical benefits in retirement (or my $7 per paycheck Cadillac benefits now).
Like I told the young punk last time this happened: I do not answer asinine "call out" questions. Man up and ask a cop your dumb ass question in person.
Were these the peaceful protestors with clubs, shields, helmets and body armor on, that got fed to the counter protestors by the cops?

Yeah, the guys that HAD A PERMIT and were there TO TALK.
Did ANTIFA have a permit ? Were they there to talk ?
Sadly, very, very few would do anything but what they were ordered to do.
That has been proven at a great many riots this past year. Where Police stood-down as people were maimed and property destroyed.
I don't really blame the Police - but am saddened none-the-less.
We all want to think there are real Heroes out there - but a real Hero is rare indeed.
