WWII Bring Back?

I made this impulse pistol buy this last weekend. Sort of like the dog in the back of the pound that nobody wanted, I asked to see this. Nobody knew anything about it. It felt good in the hand, and at $170 out the door, I pulled the trigger. Glad I did, it has quite the history.

KaBa Special in 25ACP. KaBa stands for Karl Bauer, a German distributor. Made in Spain after WWI by Arizmendi, due to restrictions placed on Germany after WWI. Distributed in Germany by Karl Bauer.

It's based on the Browning 1906 VestPocket. This particular gun was made in 1932. No import markings, so it was a bring back as far as I can tell.

Yeah, she ain't no prom queen, and she's been through a lot with some areas of blue coming off and a few dings, but the all steel construction, smooth operation, and strong rifling make this a fun shooter. Already shot a few mags through and it's been flawless.








And here it is dwarfed by my Sig P238. Yeah...she's tiny...

Gun store I bought it from. Also saw it at Runnings.

I don't know about a WWII bring back but it is an interesting piece.

Last Friday I did see a 1911 WWII bring back, actually got to hold it for a while too. The gentlemen that brought it back was suffering from dementia so his grand son was having it put on his permit. I told him that is a gun which should never leave the family lineage but, if you do decide to sell it I will give it a proper home.
