XDs 45

Not that I should be getting more handguns, because quite frankly, my current ones fill any role Id ever neeed. Ever. But, with that deal of free mags/mag pouch/holster may be worth it. I guess Springfield doesnt ship the holster/mag pouches anymore?

Anyway. I only have a 2 45acps and 3 9mms. I may need to even it out.

For a bit over $400, I can get one, plus transfer fees.

Thoughts on the issue?

Lower capacity isnt an issue. I like revolvers, my huge 1911 only has a few more rounds.

I bought the 4.0 instead of the 3.3. I figured the extra sight radius and added velocity outweighed the .7" length I gained

I turn it 90 degrees counter clockwise, so I dont need a sight radius.

I love mine, I have had mine for many years. It is one of my EDC's. Mine in 45 ACP, cannot say enough good about it. Lower round count has Never bothered me.

I have never been a big fan of wheel guns. I have a few, mostly, they stay in the safe. Rare that they ever come out.

I shoot my friends and i like it.
its a little hard to hole on too, but i have very large hands.

A friend has one and loves it. He has been carrying it for the last 3 years.

I might go for a 9mm version for myself. Cheaper round.

My friend has the .45 version. I used to have the 9mm version. My only complaint was the heavy trigger pull. That was remedied by a sight bending of the grip safety spring.

Other than that, I had no issues with it. I never once had a malfunction. I got rid of it however because I wanted something with a 10 rd magazine.

Very well built pistol. I prefer the shield 45n but it is bigger.

My XDS 45 with 3.3 is my EDC. I use a DeSantis Intruder IWB holster. Can barely tell I'm carrying it. Very light. I put a pearce (sp?) pinky extender on my 6 rnd mags for a more comfortable grip. Had Civil Armory in Pleasant Valley install night sights.

I went with the XDS over the comparable Glock because of the trigger reach. I apparently have short fingers and just can't get a good feel for the trigger on a Glock. The XDS trigger fits me more naturally. Accuracy seemed to start coming in after about 250 - 300 rounds. Early on it seemed to shoot high left.

I recently picked up an XDs 9, 3.3, FDE, and love this gun. It is so nice to carry, I don't even realize I have it on when I carry it all day. I've put about 300 incident free rounds through mine so far. I haven't handled the 45 version, but I'm pretty confident you are going to really like that handgun.

My primary EDC is 4.0 9mm XDS. I love it never had an issue with it that was not ammo related. Shoot mostly reloads. Have a few thousand rounds through it by now.
