Xds 9mm/ blazer brass issue

So here is my issue I just came back from the range, was mainly there to test out a new pistol but I brought a box of blazer brass to run through my xds 9mm. Damn near every other round failed to cycle completely. The brass would fail to eject all the way and get stuck in the slide.
Have never had this issue with any other ammo and don't remember ever running blazer through it previously. Has anyone else experienced this? I figure I'll clean her nice and go at it again with another box of blazer and some stuff she likes to eat but it was a frustrating day at the range to say the least.

I had the same issues when my Glock was new with that Blazer crap. I think it's underpowered and since the spring is still tight, it doesn't cycle all the way.

Never had a problem Blazer Brass 9mm in my Sig 226 or Blazer 45ACP in my 1911's. And I like the cases for reloading.

In the last month, I've put about 1k of Blazer brass through my various Glocks without a single hiccup.

Got an XDS 9mm, at least 500 rounds of Blazer Brass with no problems.

I've shot plenary of it to through various guns and calibers never had an issue except a few time in my kimber solo when the mags were new. Those springs are tight. I'd load one less round and no issues then.

I cleaned her today and I have a feeling I put her away dirty after the last range trip. Thinking I need to give her another go and see if it still happens with blazer and other brands too. Hopefully it was a one time issue caused by me and not the ammo itself.

I can't remember ever having any significant issues with Blazer ammo in any of my guns. Although it's been a while since I've bought any as I pretty much run my reloads through everything I own, with the exception of running my SD ammo occasionally.

This is my experience with blazer brass this past weekend. So far, this ammo is the only one that my VP9 has trouble with. This particular bullet literally came apart in the chamber without firing. What happened was, I noticed my gun failed to go into battery, tapping on the slide failed to push it in. Tried to rack the slide, stuck. Dropped the magazine and peak into the magazine well and saw the brass, after some swearing, finally able to rack the slide and ejected the case. Afterward was able to rack the slide freely without issues, took a look into the chamber, noticed a lot of gun powder on the feed ramp. Dissembled the pistol right away, noticed gun powder was all over the inside of the frame and the slide. Took out the barrel, and the bullet literally fell out of the chamber.

Reloading the 45acp blazer brass you need to see if they are small primers, There is a thread on the reloading section about this problem. He had a large primer go off with the small primer pocket in the blazer brass.

Bullet weight? It seems that modern guns like 124 gr and 147 gr projectiles over the old standard 115. Although the NATO 115 gr seems to run a bit hotter than run of the mill range fodder.

The blazer is weak ammo. once the pistol breaks in a bit it will likely run fine.

Yep. That's what it is. For me, after my recoil spring broke in, the Blazer shot without issues. Not so when the gun was brand new.
