A note about all these facebook videos though.. they're going to need some descriptive titles like everything else. I realize it's not as simple as an article where people should generally be putting the article's title as the thread title, but we have this slew of often seemingly entirely random facebook videos with titles that are cutesy comments on the content rather than anything descriptive of what the content might be. Thats's not only very annoying to a lot of readers but is also undermining our efforts to get descriptive titles in all other cases where it really matters.
I recognize that these facebook things are basically just random throwaways , but the poor titling for the sake of humor is setting a bad precedent.
It remains as simple as this: People should have some basic idea of what they're clicking on before opening a thread. If they don't, it's a bad title. Clickbait is BS and not what we want to be about. That's the whole of it.
