I May have a complete straight pull bolt action upper available.
Do tell.

I'm the opposite. I shot two of the little fu**ers across the room last week putting in the front pin. Both gone forever so I ordered 10 of them for the next round. I usually push the spring in and hold it through the small hole on the side but this lower doesn't have the hole.
When are you going to start build number 3?
It is relatively easy to make a straight pull bolt action upper. I used a white oak arms side charging upper receiver and a Green mountain AR15 chambered blank barrel. The barrel is not contoured and doesnt have a gas hole drilled. Removed the gas rings from the bolt to make it easier to charge. So you just put together a complete lower and slap the upper on and you are done. You can have your pistol grip and your detachable magazine because it is not semi automatic. It’s tempting, but now I wanna get better at actually shooting. I’ve done basic marksmanship, but I want to take a couple defensive carbine classes.
I’m all ears on that straight pull upper, though

top one is white oak upper and the bottom one is a slick side upper I modified on a milling machine to Add the side charging cut ( the handle is in one of my parts boxes) View attachment 90963
Yeah I have one in 17 Remington. Took a barrel off a Savage in 17 hornet. Had it Machined it to take an AR15 barrel extension. Then Chambered it in 17 Remington. That’s pretty cool...would be fun to put one together in one of the farther-reaching calibers for the platform- 6.5 Grendel, 224, etc.
Looks like some nice asbestos tile you got there.PS- don’t mind my 70’s flooring. That’s my guns n guitars room, and I LIKE it that way. Keeps the unwanteds out.
Not to side track, but I got to know. Why couldn't you just put an adjustable gas block on it, and shut it completely down? Now it is not a semi and you can have anything you want on it. Am I missing something?

As bad as the asbestos is, I've always kind of liked the style.Yeah, it’s old, aka asbestos. It’s one of those leave it and it probably won’t Jack you up things. We’re planning on redoing our first floor soon, though, so abatement will be an expense.
You could but being in NY you take the chance of the Fuhrer’s henchmen arresting you and turning on the gas block. With out a gas port they would have to replace the upper or the barrel and install the gas system to turn it into a sturm gavere. Not to side track, but I got to know.
