Daewoo pistols (DP-51/DH40/K5) were doing this (in exactly the same way) in the 80s and 90s. They weren't especially popular.

See there's a reason why simple Pistols are better sellers and more widely used: fewer things to fuck up at critical times. The Glock is pretty damn simplistic and reliable, the venerable 1911 isn't as simple, but there's not too much more to it than striker fired pistols...

This seems like a gimmick to me.

My friend just bought a Sig .45, w/ the same action features, I think it's a full size 220. Not legal in NY, but he's an NYPD Det, 2nd class, so was able to buy it. They didn't refer it to a triple action though, it was referred to as both a single and double action.
