I'm very friendly with the OP. The story I heard was that a thread he started got deleted. After that he rode into the sunset because it was just like the other site and asked me to contact him via other methods going forward.

Only thing is that there was never any deleted thread.

Maybe it was a a posted thread during site maintenance time that didn't go through? 2 or 3am. Or a bad connection? Or gremlins. Who knows? It could be anything.

Yeah, I can only guess he misinterpreted something or made a mistake (or whatever) and had a little freak out about it.

I don't know. Sometimes an unnerving guy in a suit just shows up and says some things, my vision goes all red and then I lose all memory of a few days of time. That happens to all Russians though, right ?

Anyway, I suppose with that information out (about his reasoning or lack thereof, not my programming) I'll just close this down. I don't imagine any opinions on it to be further helpful.
