I have never had a problem with then part quality wise except their lowers wobble a bit and can be rough. Uppers have always been excellent. I pretty much run their premium bcg exclusively.
They are usually slow in shipping...and I've never had to contact their customer service...

It was a customer service issue and they were assholes to me and my FIL. Not saying their products aren’t acceptable but they just aren’t for me. They have the only reasonably priced .22lr upper thay I want for my kids but I refuse to buy it because it’s for them. I’ve been tempted a few times honestly.
Slow is an understatement and the last time I attempted to order from them they wouldn't ship me an upper stating I lived in NYC and I wasn't allowed to own an AR which I kindly told them they don't know wtf they are talking about because:
1. The Upper is not a firearm
2. The SCR is the NYC AR-bastard which takes AR uppers.

Their funny and off-color lowers are the only reason i'd ever continue to shop there but alas I cannot own an AR in the city.

Doubt it.. they dont offer their own featurless AR so chances are they wont be doing anything with their AK lines..
I don't have issues with PSA. I do agree that sometimes shipping is slow but if you ask them nicely it is usually because they are machining the stuff. Once it ships it is to me in about 3 days. There is some QC issues but they have always been good in fixing it. I ordered two Sig red dots from them on Friday and they had them ready to ship Saturday morning.
This whole AK for sporting reasons i find funny. I love AKs. I think it is a great platform if i wanted to shoot the broadside of a barn and miss. But then again I am talking about the ones that flooded the market 20 years ago you could get for $200. I love them but it is more for range day fun then hunting.
Maybe because i am old school but I am amazed at people buying an AK for $600-$1000. I can still remember seeing crates of six for around $600 or maybe even less go through St. Albans as a kid.

I gave up on PSA and Primary Arms years ago. I could never complete an order between the two. It seems like most of the two websites are out of stock on merchandise at all times.

I've made about 5 orders at primary arms in the last month. All shipped the next day. Right now they are far and away the fastest shippers in the biz. Centergire guns is great too.
PSA has never let me down or made a mistake for me yet, but when I order I know it's going to take 48 hours to ship at the very least.
There was another company that started to make sporter aks out of Romanian parts. I can't remember the name.
I really personally don't care for the ergos on a sporter style ak, which is why both my Saigas have new homes where they are loved by someone else.
