Unreal how far apart generations are. Computers to me are for work, budgeting, entertainment (live streaming sports) and maybe the occasional game if my daughter manages to talk me into it. And I never game on my own. But it IS NOT REAL. And from speaking to my son, many games are so hacked with boosts, cheats, and enhancement mods - it's almost impossible to find a platform that is genuinely "fair". So for this girl to actually be traumatized by a "rape" that was completely virtual send a screaming message about how unrealistic many of these kids are and how damaged they stand to become if they conflate online images and actions with physical reality. WTF. Talk about a mental illness minefield.

I agree I have no care for things like this either. VR, metaverse, Amazon Alexa things like that are banned from my home and will be forever. I think VR and the metaverse will plunge us deeper into depression and self isolation. I could see people stop having sex for the most part because of this.
I posted it because I thought it was an interesting take and I would like to see how it plays out and if criminal charges come of it. It’s always interesting to know what the authorities and governments are thinking because of what it might bring next. I agree with your assessment and this isn’t rape at all and at best it could be a harassment charge. I also agree she should have left the space. Also does it have a function to show a penis or remove clothing? I have no clue but I guess I fail to see how anyone would realize she was actually raped in that space by the articles terms but I lack background here.
